14/02/2012 Fearless in Love hits the bookstores this week. Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi Millie,
Thanks so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed Fearless - he makes me grin too, poor hapless hound. And hearing from people who are actually enjoying the books is great - it's hard to believe, when you're in the middle of slogging away illustrating a book, that any real people are actually ever going to read it! So thanks for taking the time to send me a message.I really hope your daughter has fun with Fearless. As for how you get into illustration, I've had a lot of people ask me about that - I might have to devote of page or two on my website to it!
Sarah
Hi Sarah,
I was thinking this morning about good books to buy my little girl for Christmas. I remembered the last time I went into my favourite bookstore and sat for ages leafing through the kids books. I stumbled across 'Fearless' that day and just could not stop smiling. Your illustrations are just wonderful.
Unfortunately, I don't have a good memory for names, and promptly forgot yours and just this morning remembered the name of the book, completely out of nowhere and googled it to add to my list of books to buy (none of them are for myself - they're all for my daughter. A voracious 3 year old bookworm).
From there, (yay for internet) I stumbled across your website (via Colin Thompson's site) and am completely dumbstruck by your illustrations for 'Mending Lucille'.
A story can be a story and ho-hum, yeah whatever...but honestly, (and I know you know this) it's all in the delivery. For me it's the illustrations...obviously it has to be well written or even someone like yourself cannot gain access to the inner lives of the characters...but you really have done such a marvellous job making that whole world come to life.
(*I have a secret desire to be a children's author/illustrator one day...how did you get into it?*)
Thanks so much,
Millie
